Arrival And Departure Times
Check-in time is 12h00 and check-out time is 11h00. Any variations on these times must be advised prior to guests arrival at the lodge and are at the sole discretion of the lodge manager. However, every effort will be made to accomodate your needs.
VAT
VAT is currently at 14% and is included in the price of most goods, services and accommodation. Foreign tourists qualify for a VAT refund on items purchased and taken out of the country upon departure. No VAT refund may be claimed on goods consumed or services rendered in South Africa.
Tour Leader/Pilot/Driver/Guide Policy
Accommodation for a bonafide tour leader, pilot, driver or guide is offered in a bed & breakfast or guest lodge accommodation nearby.
Customised Safaris
The reduced rate of R1 600.00 per person per night sharing, is solely for accommodation and meals . This rate does not include game drives and / or any other special activities available in safari packages. Pre booking of activities is advised, as bookings made during your stay cannot be guaranteed.

All major credit cards are accepted.
Cheque Payments
Cheques are not accepted.
Malaria
Malaria is endemic to the Mpumalanga region of the country including the Kruger National Park and surrounding areas. We are not aware of any guest who contracted Malaria while at Royal Kruger Lodge. Notwithstanding this, in the interests of your personal safety, we recommend that precautions be taken.
Please consult your physician for further information on the various anti-malarial prophylactics available.

Catering Requirements
Please inform RKL upon reservation of any special dietary requirements. Regretfully we do not have a kosher kitchen.
Please also advise us if any guests will be celebrating a birthday or special occasion which you may want us to be aware of.
Drinking Water
All water in the lodge is filtered to the highest standards and is perfectly safe for drinking. Cold bottled water is available in unlimited quantities at no additional cost.
Power Supply
220v A.C. current is available 24 hours per day.
Internet Connection, Television & DVD Players
Internet connectivity is available for guests on request (3G)
In the interests of providing you with rejuvenation from city life and offering a complete break in the natural bush, the lodge does not have television or DVD Players.
Dress code
The dress code is casual but neutral colours are recommended on game drives. A sweater is recommended during the winter months (May to September) and warm clothing, including a windbreaker (anorak), is also recommended during this period. We also advise that closed shoes are worn in the Boma at night in the unlikely event of a scorpion passing by. |
